Navi Pillay

Navi Pillay is a South African lawyer and diplomat who served as the High Commissioner for Human Rights at the United Nations from 2008 to 2016. She was the first woman to hold the position. Pillay has been a vocal advocate for human rights and has worked extensively on issues related to women's rights, children's rights, and refugee rights. She has also been involved in various humanitarian efforts, including serving as the Chair of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
