Japanese novelist and literary critic
Natsuki Soseki was a Japanese novelist, literary critic, and essayist. He is best known for his novels, particularly 'I Am a Cat'. Born in 1867 in Tokyo, Japan, Soseki studied at the University of Tokyo and later traveled to Europe. He wrote several novels, including 'I Am a Cat', which is considered a classic of Japanese literature. Soseki's works often explored themes of identity, morality, and the human condition. He died in 1916 at the age of 49.
