Muntadhar al-Zaidi is an Iraqi journalist and politician who was a key figure in the 2003 Iraq War protests. He was a member of the Iraqi National Congress and was known for his criticism of the US-led invasion of Iraq. Al-Zaidi was also a vocal critic of the Iraqi government and was arrested several times for his activism. He is currently a member of the Iraqi parliament.
