Mohammad Deif

Mohammad Deif is a Palestinian Islamist militant and the current leader of Hamas. He was born in 1952 in the Gaza Strip. Deif studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo and later earned a degree in Islamic law. He became involved in Hamas in the 1980s and has been a key figure in the organization's military wing. Deif has been a target of Israeli military operations and has been accused of war crimes. He is currently in hiding in the Gaza Strip.
