Mohammad Asadollah Alam

Mohammad Asadollah Alam was an Iranian politician who served as the President of Iran from 1955 to 1961. He was a prominent figure in the CIA-backed coup against Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953, which led to his presidency. Alam's presidency was marked by his efforts to modernize Iran and improve relations with Western countries. However, he faced opposition from various factions within the country, including the Communist Party of Iran. Alam was forced into exile after a failed coup attempt in 1964.
