Mohamed Saleh is a British Academy-funded researcher and professor of economic history. He has developed a new economic history of the Middle East that explains the economic roots of authoritarianism in the region. Saleh has a strong background in economic history and has published numerous papers on the subject. He is currently a professor at a leading university in the UK.
