Mirhossein Mousavi

Mirhossein Mousavi is an Iranian cleric and politician. He was born in 1953 in Tehran, Iran. Mousavi served as the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly from 2000 to 2005. He was a presidential candidate in the 2009 Iranian presidential election. Mousavi is known for his opposition to the Iranian government's nuclear program and his advocacy for human rights. He has been a vocal critic of the Iranian government's treatment of minorities and has called for greater freedom of speech and assembly in Iran.
