Michael Swanwick is an American science fiction and fantasy author. He has written numerous novels and short stories, and has won several awards for his work. Swanwick's writing often explores the intersection of technology and humanity, and he is known for his unique blend of science fiction and horror elements. He has been a finalist for the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award, and has won the Locus Award. Swanwick is also a professor of English at the University of New Hampshire.
