Michael D. Coe

Michael D. Coe is an American anthropologist and expert on Easter Island. He has spent several decades studying the history and culture of the Rapa Nui people and has written several books on the subject. Coe is a professor emeritus at the University of Chicago and has received several awards for his work, including the National Endowment for the Humanities Award. He is also a popular science writer and has written for several publications, including The New York Times and The Guardian.
