Martin Stuefer

Martin Stuefer is a pilot-scientist based in Alaska who combines his passion for aviation with scientific research. With a background in Austrian gliding and a fascination with mountain weather from his childhood, he uses his Cessna to conduct hyperspectral imaging for climate research. Since 2015, he has been mapping glaciers, minerals, forests, and smoke particles, and has also participated in rescue missions, including transporting sled dogs during a Yukon Quest blizzard.
