Martin Riggs is a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. He is a former Vietnam War veteran and is known for his reckless and impulsive behavior. Riggs is a partner of Roger Murtaugh and the two form a formidable team. He is played by the late Mel Gibson in the 1987 film Lethal Weapon.
