Mariana Mota

Mariana Mota is a Uruguayan former judge and human rights advocate. She served as a judge in the Juzgado de Primera Instancia en lo Penal de 7º Turno de Montevideo and investigated over 50 denuncias por violaciones a los derechos humanos vinculadas a la última dictadura militar. Mota was also a key figure in the prosecution of former dictator Juan María Bordaberry. She is known for her tireless work in promoting human rights and justice in Uruguay.
