Lyle James

Lyle James is a passionate advocate for the Lingít language, having dedicated his life to teaching and reviving the language. He turned his late-starting journey into a mission, creating a judgment-free space in Juneau where over a thousand students have learned the language. Inspired by elders and encouraged by his wife, Lyle embraced teaching full-time while continuing his own education, demonstrating that passion and humility can lead to powerful cultural revival.
