Lucien Montagnier

Lucien Montagnier is a French physician and virologist. He is best known for his work on the discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Montagnier was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2008 for his discovery. He has also worked on other medical topics, including cancer research and vaccine development.
