Louise Michel

Louise Michel was a prominent French anarchist and feminist of the 19th century. Born Louise Demahis in Haute-Marne, she became a revolutionary figure after rejecting a conventional life. She played a significant role in the Paris Commune and was known for her radical views and activism. Michel was eventually imprisoned and later became a symbol of feminist and anarchist movements.
