Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by his pen name, was an English author, mathematician, and logician. He is best known for his children's books, particularly 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'. Dodgson was a shy and introverted man who preferred the company of children to adults. He was a lecturer at Christ Church, Oxford, and was known for his love of puzzles, games, and logic. He died in 1898 at the age of 64.
