Leonardo Sciascia was an Italian writer and politician. He was a prominent figure in Italian intellectual life and is known for his novels and essays on politics and society. Sciascia was also a member of the Italian Parliament and served as the Minister of the Interior. He is widely regarded as one of the most important Italian writers of the 20th century.
