Leonardo Boff

Leonardo Boff is a Brazilian Catholic priest and theologian who was born in 1938. He studied theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University and was ordained as a priest in 1967. Boff is known for his progressive views on theology and his criticism of the Catholic Church's teachings on economics and politics. He has written several books on theology and economics and has been a vocal critic of capitalism and neoliberalism. Boff has been a prominent figure in the Catholic Church's social justice movement and has been involved in several high-profile controversies throughout his career. He is currently a professor at the University of Campinas in Brazil.
