László Almásy was a Hungarian explorer and adventurer who is best known for his discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in Egypt. He also led several expeditions to Africa and the Middle East, and was a pioneer in the field of desert exploration. Almásy's life has been the subject of several books and films, including the 2004 film 'The Mummy' starring Brendan Fraser.
