Landon Jones

Landon Jones is an American author and historian. He is best known for his book "Pillar of Fire: America in the King Years 1963-65," which explores the Civil Rights Movement. Jones has also written several other books, including "Great Expectations: America and the Baby Boom Generation" and "Hollow City: The Secret History of the Empty Places in America." He is a professor emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been a contributing editor to The Atlantic.
