Lala Lajpat Rai

Lala Lajpat Rai was a prominent Indian independence activist and politician. Born in 1865, Rai was a key figure in the Indian independence movement, advocating for Indian self-rule and challenging British colonial rule. He was a leading figure in the Indian National Congress and played a significant role in the Non-Cooperation Movement. Rai was also a strong advocate for Hindu nationalism and the idea of a unified Indian nation. He was assassinated in 1928, but his legacy continues to be celebrated and studied by scholars and historians today.
