Khader Adnan

Khader Adnan was a Palestinian Islamic Jihad spokesperson and a prominent figure in the Palestinian resistance movement. He was born in 1977 in the West Bank and was arrested multiple times by the Israeli authorities. Adnan was known for his activism and his willingness to take risks to draw attention to the Palestinian cause. He was a father of nine children and worked as a baker before his arrest. Adnan's hunger strike in 2011 sparked a global wave of solidarity actions. He died in Israeli detention in May 2023.
