Karl Elliger
Scholar and Editor of Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia
Karl Elliger was a German biblical scholar who edited the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. Born in 1868, he studied theology and philosophy before becoming a renowned expert on Hebrew manuscripts. His work on the Masoretic Text group significantly contributed to our understanding of the Hebrew Bible. Elliger also collaborated with Wilhelm Rudolph on several projects.
