Joseph Butler

Joseph Butler was a British philosopher and theologian who lived in the 18th century. He is best known for his work on ethics and morality, particularly his book ' Fifteen Sermons on Human Nature'. Butler was born in 1692 and died in 1752. He was a prominent figure in the Enlightenment and was known for his rational and empiricist approach to philosophy. Butler was also a clergyman and served as the Bishop of Bristol. He is considered one of the most important philosophers of the 18th century.
