John Thornton

John Thornton is a fictional character in Jack London's novel 'The Call of the Wild'. He is a wealthy merchant who buys Buck, the main character, and takes him to the Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush. Thornton is portrayed as a kind and gentle man who treats Buck with respect and compassion.
