John R. Lott, Jr.

John R. Lott, Jr. is an American economist and gun rights advocate. He is the president of the Crime Prevention Research Center and has written extensively on topics such as crime, economics, and gun control. Lott has been a vocal critic of gun control laws and has argued that they do not reduce crime rates. He has also written about the economic benefits of gun ownership and has been a frequent guest on conservative talk shows. Lott has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago and has taught at various universities. He is married and has two children.
