John Newland was an American actor and radio host. He is best known for hosting the popular radio show X Minus One. Newland began his career in radio in the 1940s and went on to appear in numerous stage productions and films. He was also a popular television personality, hosting several game shows and variety programs. Newland was known for his distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence. He passed away in 1995 at the age of 85.
