John Haymes Newton is an American actor and comic book writer. He is best known for his role as Clark Kent/Superman in the 1988 film Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. Newton has also written several comic book series, including Superman and Action Comics. He has also appeared in several other films and television shows, including The A-Team and Magnum P.I. Newton has also been open about his struggles with addiction and mental health.
