Josef Erich Zawinul was an Austrian jazz and jazz fusion keyboardist and composer. He was born on July 7, 1932, in Vienna, Austria. Zawinul began his music career in the 1950s, playing with various jazz musicians. He gained international recognition in the 1960s, playing with Miles Davis and forming the group Weather Report.
