Jeff Sauer is a former NHL coach and general manager. He coached the Detroit Red Wings from 1994 to 2006 and served as the general manager of the Atlanta Thrashers from 2008 to 2011. Sauer is currently the head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes. He is known for his ability to develop young players and his defensive-minded approach to the game.
