Jay DeMarcus is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on January 26, 1975, in Columbus, Ohio. DeMarcus is best known as the bassist and backing vocalist of the country music group Rascal Flatts, which he formed in 2000 with Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney. He has also released solo music and has worked as a producer for various artists.
