Chief Economist of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Jan Adam is a Czech economist and banker. He has been the Chief Economist of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority since 2018. Adam has a strong background in monetary policy and has worked for the European Central Bank and the Bank of England. He is known for his expertise on the Asian economy and monetary policy. Adam has also been a vocal advocate for the development of central bank digital currencies.
