James Tiptree Jr. was an American science fiction author, best known for her short stories and novels that explored themes of feminism, identity, and social commentary. Born in 1942, Tiptree Jr. was a prominent figure in the science fiction community and was known for her pseudonym, Alice Sheldon. She won numerous awards for her work, including the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award. Tiptree Jr. passed away in 2018.
