James Forrestal

James Forrestal was an American politician and businessman who served as the 11th United States Secretary of the Navy from 1940 to 1941. He was a prominent figure in the US government during World War II, and played a key role in the development of the US naval strategy. Forrestal was also a successful businessman, and served as the chairman of the Remington Rand Corporation. He was known for his strong leadership skills and his ability to make tough decisions. Forrestal was a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Business School, and was a member of the Skull and Bones society. He was assassinated on May 22, 1949, while under treatment at Bethesda Naval Hospital for depression. Despite the official investigation, the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.
