Erwin Rommel was a German field marshal during World War II. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest military minds in history. Rommel was born in 1891 in Heidenheim, Germany. He joined the German army in 1914 and served in both World Wars. Rommel's military career was marked by his innovative tactics and leadership skills. He is best known for his victories in North Africa, where he led the German Afrika Korps. Rommel was a highly respected commander, and his nickname "Desert Fox" was earned due to his cunning and adaptability. He was killed in action in 1944, at the age of 72.
