Ibrahim al-Koni is a Libyan novelist and short story writer. He was born in 1955 in the city of Benghazi, Libya. Al-Koni's writing often explores themes of identity, culture, and social justice. He has written several novels and short story collections, including "The Book of Strangers" and "The Book of Secrets". Al-Koni has received numerous awards for his writing, including the International Prize for Arabic Fiction. He is considered one of the most important Arabic-language writers of his generation.
