Heidi Drygas

Heidi Drygas is the newly elected president of the Alaska AFL-CIO, bringing extensive experience in labor and state government to her role. With a background as a former labor commissioner and attorney, she is dedicated to leading 50,000 union members across more than 50 affiliates. Drygas is committed to advocating for a new public-sector pension system, especially as unions gain momentum in the state. Her residence in Juneau places her at the center of legislative action, allowing her to directly champion workers’ rights in the state Capitol.
