Gustav Flaubert

Gustav Flaubert was a French novelist and writer born in 1821 in Rouen, France. He is best known for his novel 'Madame Bovary', which is considered one of the greatest works of realist literature. Flaubert was a pioneer of the realist movement and his writing style was characterized by its simplicity and accuracy. He was also a pioneer of the 'stream-of-consciousness' technique. Flaubert was a prolific writer and published several novels and short stories during his lifetime. He died in 1880 at the age of 59. He is considered one of the greatest writers of the 19th century.
