Italian mathematician and physician
Girolamo Cardano was an Italian mathematician, physician, and philosopher who lived in the 16th century. He is best known for his work on probability theory and his book on card games. Cardano was also a professor of mathematics at the University of Padua and was a member of the Italian Academy of Sciences. He was known for his innovative approach to mathematics and his ability to apply mathematical concepts to real-world problems. Cardano was born in Pavia, Italy and died in Milan, Italy.
