George Wythe was a lawyer, judge, and educator who played a significant role in the early history of the United States. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and served as the first law professor in the United States. Wythe was a prominent figure in the Virginia bar and served as a judge in the Virginia General Court. He was also a skilled writer and published several books on law and politics.
