Gensler, Gary

Gary Gensler is an American economist and lawyer who has served as the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) since 2021. He is a graduate of Harvard University and has a Master's degree in Economics from the London School of Economics. Before joining the SEC, Gensler worked as a professor at the University of California, Berkeley and as a consultant for several major financial institutions. He is known for his expertise on financial markets and his advocacy for increased regulation of the financial industry.
