High-ranking German officer and commander

General Paulus was a highly decorated German officer who fought on the Eastern Front during World War II. He held various high-ranking positions, including commander of the Sixth Army. Despite being surrounded by Soviet forces, Paulus attempted to negotiate a surrender, which was ultimately rejected by Adolf Hitler. General Paulus was executed for treason after his surrender.
