The founder of Buddhism
Gautama Siddhartha, also known as the Buddha, was a spiritual teacher from ancient India who founded Buddhism. He was born in Lumbini, Nepal, around 563 BCE and spent his life studying and practicing various forms of meditation and spiritual practices. At the age of 35, he renounced his royal life and embarked on a spiritual quest, seeking enlightenment and a deeper understanding of the nature of reality. After six years of intense meditation and ascetic practices, he achieved enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya, India. He spent the rest of his life teaching others about the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, and establishing the Buddhist community. He is considered one of the most important figures in human history and is revered by millions of people around the world. Gautama Siddhartha is also known for his teachings on the nature of suffering, the importance of mindfulness, and the path to enlightenment.
