Gaston de Chasseloup-Laubat

Gaston de Chasseloup-Laubat was a French racing driver and engineer who played a key role in the development of the first transcontinental automobile race. Born in 1879, de Chasseloup-Laubat was a member of the French aristocracy and was known for his bravery and mechanical skills. He was one of the founders of the Automobile Club de France and was instrumental in organizing the first Paris-Brest-Paris rally. De Chasseloup-Laubat was also a skilled engineer and designed several innovative vehicles that were ahead of their time. He died in 1940 at the age of 61.
