Friedrich Wyneken

Friedrich Wyneken was a pastor and missionary who was born in Germany in 1810. He came to Baltimore, Maryland in 1838 and later accepted a call to Friedheim and Fort Wayne in Indiana. Wyneken served as a missionary in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan, including among the Amerindian population. He helped found Concordia Theological Seminary along with Wilhelm Loehe and Wilhelm Sihler.
