Filippo Grandi

Filippo Grandi is a Italian diplomat and humanitarian who has served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees since 2015. Prior to his appointment, Grandi served as the Italian Ambassador to the United States and the United Kingdom. He has also held various positions in the Italian government, including Minister of Foreign Affairs. Grandi has a PhD in international relations from the University of Geneva and has taught at several universities, including the University of Geneva and the University of Oxford. He is known for his work on refugee issues and his advocacy for the rights of refugees and displaced persons.
