Eyal Hulevi

Eyal Hulevi is a Israeli journalist, author and politician. He was born in 1968 in Jerusalem. Hulevi studied at Hebrew University. Before entering politics he worked as a journalist for the newspaper Maariv. In 2002 he ran for election to the Knesset, but lost. He served in the Israeli Defense Forces during the Gaza disengagement and has written several books on the subject. Hulevi is known for his progressive views on Israel-Palestine relations. He currently serves as a member of the Tel Aviv city council.
