About Ernest
Ernest Lawrence was an American physicist who invented the cyclotron, a type of particle accelerator. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1939 for his work on the cyclotron and its applications. Lawrence was also a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and served as the director of the Radiation Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley.
