Ernest Bai Koroma

Former President of Sierra Leone

Ernest Bai Koroma served as the President of Sierra Leone from 2007 to 2018. He was a member of the All People's Congress (APC) party. Koroma was arrested in connection with an attempted coup in November 2023 but was later released on health grounds. He has consistently denied any involvement in the coup attempt.
