Ensign Jesse Brown

Ensign Jesse Brown was a United States Navy aviator who served in the Korean War. He was the first African American aviator to receive the Medal of Honor, and his heroic actions during the war, including the rescue of his wounded wingman, Lieutenant Tom Hudner, have become legendary. Brown's story was immortalized in Adam Makos' book, Devotion, and he remains an important figure in American military history.
